Hi, I’m Melea, and I’m so glad you’re here!
After becoming a first-time homeowner on a half-acre in Cheyenne, Wyoming, I realized I had a million ideas… and only halfway knew how to get them done. I planted lilacs on a windy hillside, wrestled clay soil into growing herbs, and made more composting attempts than I’d like to admit. Somewhere in the middle of all that, I learned something that changed everything:
A healthier, more intentional life isn’t built in one big moment — it’s built through small daily choices.
This website is my way of sharing a fully rounded, natural approach to everyday life — from growing food, cooking from scratch, and choosing simpler ingredients, to getting back to nature in a way that feels realistic (not extreme). I love the feeling of not always needing to run to the store for every little thing, and I especially love knowing what we’re using in our home — because we made it, we chose it, and we understand what’s in it.
And because I believe holistic living includes the way we care for our animals too, dogs are a big part of this journey. I’ve been involved in dog training for 12 years, from my first job to volunteering my time, and now working professionally as a dog trainer. My goal in dog training isn’t just obedience — it’s communication. In my experience, most struggles come down to simple misunderstandings. When a human thinks a dog is being stubborn, the dog is often confused, overwhelmed, or unsure what to do next.
Do It All Things Daily is here to help you build a life that feels more grounded and capable — for you, your home, and your animals — one day at a time..

Do It All Things Daily started with one honest blog post: Cheyenne Wyoming Spring Garden Tips for Beginners — written after my very first year of trying to grow a garden in Wyoming. I had the dream, the excitement, and a million ideas… and then I met the reality of wind, clay soil, surprise weather changes, and plants that did not care how motivated I was. I made mistakes, wasted money on the wrong things, planted what I thought would work, and learned the hard way that gardening here takes patience, strategy, and a willingness to keep going even when you feel like you “failed.”
But that first season also gave me something I didn’t expect: confidence. Not because everything worked — but because I kept showing up. I kept learning, adjusting, and trying again. That’s when I realized I didn’t just want a garden… I wanted a healthier lifestyle built on real skills. Growing food, cooking from scratch, getting back to nature, and creating a home that feels more grounded and intentional.
And as my home life grew, so did another huge part of who I am: dog training. I’ve always believed that a healthy lifestyle includes our animals too — not just what we feed them, but how we communicate with them and how safe and calm they feel inside our homes. I love the freedom that comes from teaching dogs boundaries and structure in a way that makes everyday life easier — like being able to garden without constantly fencing everything off or feeling like your dog has to be separated from you. That kind of calm, connected home life is something I want for more people.
I may not be able to foster every animal or personally help every dog find the perfect home… but I can share what I’ve learned. This blog is my way of helping other people create happier homes — for themselves and their animals — through simple routines, better choices, and real-life lessons that actually work.
